My love for you burns bright,

Filling up the darkest night.

A Band of Gold

Gay couples to make this vow.

They say it’s a sin against God above,

But I think He’d agree, love is love.

Ignore the hate and say, “I do.”

My Angel

The sound of his voice in my ear,

Comforts all my doubts and fears.

He holds me close in his embrace,

As he wipes teardrops from my face.

He promises to keep me safe from harm,

As he wraps me within his arms.

I sometimes don’t know what is wrong,

I worry too much, I’m just not strong.

The day we met, I just knew,

With this guy, I would not be blue.

But now, with him, I can share,

I know he’ll listen, I know he cares.

For the first time, I know true love,

He is my angel, sent from above.

From this guy, I’ll not soon part,

He owns my soul, body, and heart.

Ups and Downs

Life’s little ups and downs,

can turn us all into clowns.

You push away, I pull you in.

Will I lose, or will I win?

I beg and plead for you to stay.

My heart would break if you went away.

I always love more than is returned,

Too many times, my heart’s been burned.

But I can’t love with just a part,

Love Has No Gender

Love has no gender, no reason or rhyme.

Love is just love, it is not a crime.

Don’t let bullies or bigots ruin your life.

If you’re a girl, you can have a wife.

Boys can love boys, yes, it is true,

And don’t forget transgenders, they matter, too.

There are more options than I can name,

No two people are exactly the same.

Love is love, remember that’s true,

Keep your heart open and love will find you.

First Love

The enchanting touch of first love,

his hand fits yours just like a glove.

Though youthful fire ignited the flame,

you both know that this is no game.

The passion that you feel is so real,

and you cherish each moment that you steal.

You yearn for more than just a kiss,

imagining faraway days of wedded bliss.

You melt beneath his tender touch,

you know you love him oh so much.

Some say that you’re young and you should roam,

But in his arms, you know you’ve found home.

Our Last Embrace

I reached up, brushed the hair from his face,

As I melted into his embrace.

The sky was hidden from our view,

As the volcano began to spew.

Ash and soot filled the sky,

I held him tight, we both cried.

I tried to comfort this man I love,

As fireballs fell from up above.

I knew that the end was near,

Trying hard to show no fear.

The volcano’s wrath finally found the place,

Where we clung to our last embrace.

Happy in Love

His dark eyes look at me,

My soul is no longer free.

His shy smile melts my will,

His touch gives me chills.

His sweet voice is just like a song,

And my love for him is strong.

His arms wrap around me tight,

Letting me know all is right.

This guy and I combine as one,
