My Sister

For a brother, a sister can be,

A blessing and a curse you see.

A sister picks on you, that’s true,

But she’ll always be there for you.

Growing up we’d fight and play,

Annoying each other all day.

But anytime I’d fall in the dirt,

She’d check to see if I’d been hurt.

There have been times we’d barely talk,

When one came in, the other would walk.

Then one day I got sick,

By my side, my sis would stick.

Day and night, she was there,

Showing me that she did care.

My sister has turned eighteen years,

She’ll leave soon amidst many tears.

California is where she’ll go,

College life is what she’ll know.

I will miss her very much,

I hope we always keep in touch.

Whether times are good or something’s amiss,

With all my heart, I love you, Sis.

Brothers

Hanging out with my brother

Is great fun like no other.

Not just one, I have two,

triple the fun for me and you.

Sports, cards, or a video game.

Fun will be had, all the same.

We may fight but we unite,

our brother bond is that tight.

If you try to mess with me,

you must always mess with three.

I do love my mom and dad,

and having sisters makes me glad.

But this I have to say,

whether we fight or if we play,

if we’re home or at the school,

acting normal or like a fool,

if trouble comes and times seem black,

a brother will always have your back!

In the end, there is no other,

like the love of a brother.
