The eclipse turned day into night,
As it began, it caused quite a fright.
People thought the sun would turn dark,
And that it would soon hold no spark.
Without the sun, people would die.
Panicked, they stared up at the sky.
As the eclipse reached its totality,
People wondered if they should flee.
Then the sun began its return.
People cheered, knowing it still burned.
The sun was again full in the sky.
The eclipse had caused no one to die.
