Liquid Sunshine

Liquid sunshine is what they said,

when the deluge opened over my head.

I really don’t mind a sprinkle or two,

or walking barefoot in the morning dew.

Precipitation quenches the thirsty land,

and gentle rain showers can be grand.

But this torrent of raindrops is not fun,

I would prefer a cloudless day of sun!
